Last month while on a press run to varies media outlets retired NFL quarterback Michael Vick was quote saying some unfavorable comments about free agent quarterback Colin Kapernick.
“First thing we got to get Colin to do is cut his hair,” Vick stated a month ago on Fox Sports 1 (FS1).
“I’m not up here to try and be politically correct, but even if he puts cornrows in I don’t think he should represent himself in that way. Just the hairstyle. Just go clean-cut. You know, why not? You’re already dealing with a lot. … All he needs to do is just try to be presentable.”
Vick was implying he should clean his act up if he wants NFL teams to take him seriously.
Vick said the statement was in hopes to give Colin advice with the hopes to making it easier for him to continue his career. Colin gained national attention last years when he started to kneel during the national anthem causing what most are speculating is a league while blackballed by NFL owners’.
Although Vick had great intentions, the media and even his wife did not agree with the way his words came out and she didn’t hold back on letting him know.
On a scene from the Vick’s new tv show, Baller Wives, Kijafa, Mike Vick’s wife, expresses that the comment he made was pretty much unnecessary and should have never happened. The comment has angry his core fan base and she was seeing the effects of his comments via her own social media.
“Why does he have to change his hair for him to get a job?” she asked her husband confused? She’s right, why should he have to cut his hair to play football? They can get a concussion every day but not have an Afro?
Vick did admit to his wife that what he said was wrong, but that wasn’t enough for her. Kijafa threats to bench him in the bedroom. “You know what you gonna be banned from this week? Banned from the booty.”
Do you think she stuck with the ban?
